Ever since she made her debut with 'Dangal' in 2016, actress Sanya Malhotra has worked in several unique and offbeat acting projects. The latest buzz suggests that she will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of 2021 Malayalam film 'The Great Indian Kitchen'. It was just another OTT film at the time of its release but due to its strong content, 'The Great Indian Kitchen' became a huge success.

It shows how the patriarchal system of our society turns women into slaves within the confines of their home and particularly kitchen. The film is being remade in Tamil as well. The Hindi remake will be bankrolled by Harman Baweja, who is quite excited about it.

According to a recent report in The Indian Express, he said, "There is a certain mystic quality attached to The Great Indian Kitchen. The story stays with you well after the film. I wanted to make it for a pan-India audience with the perfect balance between entertainment and content-driven drama. I am super excited to collaborate with Sanya & Arati.”

As of now, Sanya is awaiting the release of 'Love Hostel', a film based on honor killing, where she'll be seen sharing screen with Vikrant Massey and Bobby Deol.
