Last year was a terrible experience for a lot of people due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown. Things were even worse for people who had to deal with personal problems during that time of crisis. Actress Sanya Malhotra was also going through a phase of heartbreak and healing last year and in a recent interview, she opened up about how she dealt with it.

Apparently, it was the end of a four year long romantic relationship which sent Sanya into dispair. She said, "My last break-up was heart-wrenching for me: a four-year-long, long-distance relationship that began when I lived in Delhi. Right after we ended things, the lockdown was imposed and I was alone in Mumbai. But I took the time to process the situation and understand why things didn’t work out. I also understood that I needed to work on myself. 2020 was a good year for me, the year of healing."

On the work front, Sanya was recently seen in the romantic drama 'Meenakshi Sundareshwar' and she has projects like 'Love Hostel' and 'Hit' under production.
