Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh started their acting career together with the 2016 sports flick 'Dangal'. Now six years after they portrayed real life wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat, Dangal girls are all set to reunite for a brand new project. Sanya and Fatima have been cast in pivotal roles in upcoming Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw biopic. Sanya will be playing the role of Manekshaw's wife Sillo Bode while Fatima will be portraying former Prime Minister Smt Indira Gandhi.

Needless to say, Sanya is super excited to share screen with Fatima once again. According to a recent report in Outlook, Sanya said, "First co-stars are always special. Dangal completed five years recently, and this film is a reminder that life has come a long way. Five years ago, we were kids. I am so proud and happy for us, and so excited to work with her again. It warms my heart.”

Despite making her debut with a box office blockbuster, Sanya went on to star in unconventional films in order to keep things challanging for herself. She says, "Unless you challenge yourself, you’ll never grow. I am here to evolve and learn about filmmaking and acting. I am happy with the response to my films this year. I can sense a shift in my career and there’s definitely greater responsibility attached to the stories I pick."
