Santosh Shoban of 'Ek Mini Katha' has grown from being a mini-figure in Tollywood to one of the most happening faces. The young actor continues to be in the news for bagging one project after another.

The news is that Shoban is all set to the frontline the Telugu remake of the Tamil-language crime thriller '8 Thottakal'. Literally meaning eight bullets, this one is being directed by Sri Ganesh, who helmed the original.
The Chennai-based Gouri Kishan of 'Jaanu' and '96' (Tamil) fame is its heroine. Sushmita Konidela, the daughter of Megastar Chiranjeevi, is producing it on Gold Box Entertainment.
Besides the remake, Shoban is also doing a quickie directed by a debutant. Its directorial supervision is by 'Pakka Commercial' and 'Prathi Roju Pandage' director Maruthi. The concept-oriented film will hit the screens after August. ‘Prem Kumar’, a comedy caper directed by Abhishek Maharishi, has completed 80% of its shoot. This one stars Shoban in the role of a romantic underdog. Nandini Reddy, the director, recently roped him in for a film. This one is yet to be made official.
