Santhosh Sivan turns hero

Internationally acclaimed cinematographer Santhosh Sivan had proved himself to be the best in the field in quite a number of films. He was blessed with immaculate success, even when he decided to call the shots in many films like Ashoka, the terrorist and ‘Beyond The Rains'. And now the master craftsman is finally going to prove himself in front of the camera too. He will be donning the role of renowned painter Raaja Ravi Varma in the new movie to be directed by Lenin Rajendran. Titled as ‘Makaramanju’, the movie will be a period film.

‘Makaramanju’ will also be special as it will be the launchpad of Karthika, the daughter of erstwhile heroine Radha. Karthika who debuted into filmdom with a Telugu movie opposite Naga Chaithanya is a plus two student at Mumbai.
