Vetrimaaran became a legendary filmmaker in modern-day Indian cinema through his hard-hitting masterpieces. The most popular among his works is undoubtedly the 2018 film 'Vada Chennai', a non-linear gangster crime drama starring Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Kishore and others.
Vada Chennai emerged as a fan-favourite content for its rich characters, incredible detailing and easter eggs. The film ends with a cliffhanger and has a lead to the sequel called, 'Rise of Anbu'. However, the second part isn't kicked off yet, for which the audiences are madly waiting. Recently, Vetrimaaran updated that Vada Chennai 2 will commence after 'Viduthalai 2' and 'Vaadivaasal'.
Now, Vada Chennai music composer Santhosh Narayanan broke the silence and revealed that Vetrimaaran has already made a spin-off to the movie. 'Rajan' is a short yet powerful role and the backbone of Vada Chennai, played by actor-director Ameer. Earlier, reports broke out that Vetrimaaran is in the process of making a series named 'Rajan Vagaiyara' as a spin-off to Vada Chennai. It will star Ken Karunas as the lead.
In a recent interview, Santhosh Narayanan said, "Vetrimaaran has already made a film called Rajan Vagaiyara. It is a two hours film which is yet to be released. It's one of the best films in Tamil cinema. I personally like it on par or more than Vada Chennai. It will comprise the life of Rajan, from where he came, what he did and how he died." He added that it may release sometime in future.
