Pa Ranjith and Arya delivered 'Sarpatta Parambarai' in 2021 which became one of the most highly acclaimed films in recent times. The period sports drama based on the real stories of North Chennai was vastly celebrated by the fans despite being a direct OTT release during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the makers broke the internet yesterday by announcing a sequel to Sarpatta Parambarai with a dashing poster and a grand theatrical release was promised to the fans this time. The only disappointing thing about the update is that there was no mention of music director Santhosh Narayanan in the poster or the tweets.

Santhosh Narayanan was the backbone of the first part but his presence in the sequel is uncertain. There is a talk that Pa Ranjith and SaNa have some creative differences. As Sarpatta Parambarai 2 was announced, the fans root for both to put back their differences and reunite again. Today, Santhosh Narayanan took to social media to wish Pa Ranjith and Arya.

Replying to Arya's tweet about Sarpatta 2, Santhosh wrote the famous line from the 'Vambula Thumbula' song in the first part. This tweet has sowed a little ray of hope in the hearts of fans that the two will come together for the magnum opus project. However, there is no clear and official confirmation regarding SaNa's presence in the movie.
