Santhanam turns singer

Not just one or two, Santhanam is said to be singing a whopping number of four songs in his heroic venture 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya'.

The film produced by Santhanam himself is being directed by a newcomer Manikandan. Besides Santhanam, 'Power Star' Dr Srinivasan, and 'VTV' Ganesh are playing lead roles.

"Santhanam is playing a gaana singer in this movie. And his voice suits well for singing urban-folk numbers. Hence director Manikandan and music composer Thaman convinced him to sing four songs," sources said.

The shooting of 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya', which is being supervised by veteran Rama Narayanan, is taking place on a fast track. It is expected to be wrapped up in a month.
