Santhanam's most recent film was the romantic comedy 'Parris Jayaraj,' which was a moderate box office success. Because of the lockdown, the release dates of Santhanam's few films have been pushed back.
The comedy hero has signed back-to-back films with a few established as well as debutante directors and will start shooting them once the lockdown is lifted. According to the latest reports, Santhanam will collaborate with 'Master' co-writer Rathna Kumar. Santhanam is said to be pleased with Rathna Kumar's plot and has given the director the green light. The official update on this new and exciting combo is awaited.
Rathna Kumar made his directorial debut with the sleeper hit 'Meyadha Maan', starring Priya Bhavani Shankar and Vaibav after the success of which he directed the daring film 'Aadai', starring Amala Paul in which she appeared nude in many scenes due to the demand of the story.
Santhanam's 'Dikkilona' and 'Server Sundaram' are ready for release, and the producers are planning to bring them to theatres on suitable dates after the pandemic gets under control. The busy star is also heading the cast of 'Sabapathy', which is directed by R Sirinvasa Rao, and the film shooting is yet to be completed.
