Santhanam after the success of 'A1' and the two 'Dhillukku Dhuddu' movies has a strong line-up of upcoming films including 'Dikikilooona' and 'Parris Jayaraj'. He has also started shooting for a family entertainer directed by debutante Srinivasa Rao.

Now the hottest news in Kollywood is that Santhanam has reportedly given his nod to play the lead in 'Corona Kumar' directed by Gokul which is set to go on floors in early February. The film is a spinoff of the 2013 blockbuster comedy hit 'Idharku Dhaaney Aasaipattai Balakumara' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nandita Shwetha in the lead roles.

The official announcement regarding Santhanam joining 'Corona Kumar' will be made soon. It is also said that VJS would also reprise his role of Sumaar Moonji Kumar in a cameo appearance and some of the cast of the original will also be back. Stay tuned for the updates very soon.
