Actor Santhanam had made a comeback post the failure of Sakka Podu Podu Raja, with this year's horror comedy Dhillukku Dhuddu 2, the sequel to his 2016 hit horror comedy, again uniting with his Lollu Sabha director Rambhala and the movie was a commercial success.

After the success of the movie, Santhanam has been acting in a number of movies, and the first to release will be A1 Accused no 1 directed by debutant Johnson and co-starring Bollywood actress Tara Alisha Berry. This movie is produced by Circle Box Entertainment.

Now the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of A1 has been bagged by SP Chowdary's 18 Reels productions, the same company which is also producing Santhanam's upcoming movie Dagaalty directed by debutant Vijay Anand. The release date of A1 is expected to be announced soon.
