Both 'Veera Simha Reddy' (Jan 12th release) and 'Waltair Veerayya' (Jan 13th release) have received a boost from the Andhra Pradesh government. The tickets to the former can be sold at a surge price of Rs 20. The tickets to the latter can be sold at a surge price of Rs 25 over and above the permitted admission rates in the State.
Both films are produced by Mythri Movie Makers. They are nearly clashing at the box-office, although they are going to be released on two consecutive days.
In his latest interview, the Megastar said that the clash was inevitable. "I would have wished my film to release first this Sankranthi. But then, both 'WV' and 'Veera Simha Reddy' are coming from the same producer. It's not just about the Day 1 record. If you are confident, it doesn't mind when your film is coming out," he added.
Starring Balakrishna in the lead, 'VSR' is directed by Gopichand Malineni. 'WV' is directed by Bobby Kolli.
