Sanjay Mishra's name belongs to the list of actors who are extremely talented but vastly underutilized by the industry. The seasoned actor owns the skill to make anyone laugh or cry with his commendable work. However, few years back, Sanjay Mishra decided to retire from acting and started working in a small restaurant in the foothills of Himalaya. He did odd jobs like serving maggi and omlettes to tourists.
During a recent conversation with news outlet Mashable India, Sanjay talked about what made him quit acting and how he returned to the industry. Apparently, he had a revalation of sorts about how precious the life is and following that, he went out to explore marvels of the nature. He told Mashable India, "I was almost on my deathbed. I went to live with my father for a few days but suddenly, he died. And his death broke me completely....If life is so uncertain, why don’t I spend my time seeing God’s creations? Let me see the world he has created, the mountains."
During his time away from the industry, Sanjay worked in a dhaba on the road to Gangotri. However, Sanjay's mother eventually helped him get out of the grief and at the same time Rohit Shetty offered him a part in his film 'All The Best'. Since then, Sanjay has done amazing work in films like Kaamyaab, Ankhon Dekhi, Masaan and Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
