After entering the coveted Time Magazine's 10 Greatest Movies of the Millennium list, Sanjay Leela BhansaliÂs ÂDevdas is now going to release in a 3D version to commemorate its 10 glorious years of cinema.
Confirming the news says the director, ÂThis is the tenth year of Devdas and, somehow, the film hasnÂt lost its sheen. WeÂre now going to do a 3D version of the film to commemorate these ten yearsÂ.
Surpassing the Oscar winning French film 'The Artist' and LuhrmannÂs musical 'Moulin Rouge', BhansaliÂs adaptation of the 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novel 'Devdas' earned the number 8 slot on Time Magazine's 10 Greatest Movies of the Millennium list.
Sunil Lulla, who is part of the film corporation that is working on the 3-D version, says, "The film completes a decade this year. And to commemorate its 10th year, we will release a 3-D version of this Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay classic.'
With the release of his forthcoming production ÂRowdy Rathore around the corner, the director-producer soon readies for his ambitious next tentatively titled ÂRam Leela starring Kareena Kapoor- Ranveer Singh.
