Although Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently busy with the post production work of his film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', he has already started working upon his long time dream project 'Heera Mandi'. The project will be centered around the red light area of Lahore. Contrary to the specualtions, Bhansali won't be directing the entirety of this much awaited web show.

It was earlier revealed that Vibhu Puri will be filling the director's chair while Bhansali will act as the producer. Now, according to latest buzz, SLB will direct the first of seven planned episodes and rest will directed by Vibhu Puri. A source close to the development shared, "Heera Mandi is Bhansali’s dream project for 12 years now. The only reason he is not helming it officially is that he is busy with the post-production of his directorial project Gangubai Kathiawadi.”

The source further added, “There are seven episodes in Heera Mandi. Bhansali will now direct the first episode. The rest of the 6 episodes will be directed by Vibhu Puri while Bhansali will supervise the project."
