Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heera Mandi' might go on floors by this time

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now focused all his attention on his passion project 'Heera Mandi'. The pre production is in full swing as the casting of the show is almost done and the project might go on floors pretty soon. Latest buzz suggests that 'Heera Mandi' will be shot on the same location as Bhansali's other upcoming film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.
However, 'Heera Mandi' won't be reusing the same sets from 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' since there's a huge time and cultural differences between the setting of both movies. While 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' takes place in Mumbai of 70s and 80s, 'Heera Mandi' will be set pre independence Lahore. As of the now, the team is constructing sets for the show on same location where 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' sets were created.
A source close to the development told ETimes, The setting work of ‘Heera Mandi’ is currently going on. We are recreating a pre-independence Lahore. The set should be ready by January and shooting will begin only in February.”
