Director Mahesh Manjrekar's "Life Ho To Aisi" will see Sanjay Dutt in an altogether new role.

According to debutante producer Sangeeta Ahir of Avishkar Productions, the film is a smart and sassy comedy and will have Sanjay playing the role of Lord Yama, who is the traditional harbinger of death.

Ahir said: "However, the Yama in this case is not the conventional Lord of death that forms part of our conjecture but a fun-loving and benevolent, suited-booted character in Armani, who decides to restore a young man's (Shahid Kapur) life when he finds out that he is the bread-winner of the family. It is probably Sanjay's best performance to date."

"Life Ho To Aisi" is being readied for an October release.
