It has been five years since the epic blockbuster 'Baahubali' released on June 10th in 2015 that catapulted director S.S. Rajamouli and hero Prabhas to pan Indian and global stardom. The film had the stellar cast of Prabhas, Rana Daggubatti, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and Sathyaraj.

Equal to the role of 'Baahubali' played by Prabhas, it was Kattappa played by Sathyaraj that impressed audiences all over the world and helped him in his second innings as a character artiste.

Vijayendra Prasad who is Rajamouli's father and the writer of 'Baahubali' in his recent interview has shared that Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was the first choice to play Kattappa but since he was in jail at that time they couldn't cast him. The team immediately thought of Sathyaraj and cast him in the role and the rest as they say is history.
