India’s poster girl for tennis Sania Mirza needs no introduction. Recently she brought to reference the incident of a 8 year old girl raped for which Hindu nationalists reportedly came out for a protest, in support of the accused. Sania severely condemned this by highlighting a renowned international daily’s social post.
However, a BJP affiliate's comments saying she is no longer an Indian because she had married into Pakistan had definitely irked the player. And being the bold woman Sania is, no time was wasted on give a fitting reply. “I play for India,I am Indian and always will be..,” she stated. She also suggested that the concerned ‘low life’ must look beyond country and religion and hold hands with humanity.
Here’s her fiery tweet below:
With all respect madam which country are you talking abt.Last time I checked u had married into Pakistan. You no longer are a Indian. And if u must tweet thn also tweet for the innocents killed by Pak terror outfits..

I play for India,I am Indian and always will be.. nd maybe if u look beyond religion and country one day you may just also stand for humanity! https://t.co/0rF9SwG7WT
