After 'Coolie No. 1' and 'Saajan Chale Sasural', Govinda is back with more double trouble as he gets sandwiched between the two ladies Raveen Tandon and Mahima Chaudhary. While the former is a cosmopolitan babe, the latter is a gaon-ki-gori! The film in question? Anees 'No Entry' Bazmee's 'SANDIWICH', earlier titled 'Hum Do Hamaara Ek'.

'Virar-ka-chora' Govinda finds his roots in Punjab this time around as he enacts the role of a 'punjabi' settled in Punjab. Living a peaceful life with his mother and a handicapped sister, he soon finds himself moving to the city of dreams, Mumbai. 'Jaisa Des Waise Bhes' - keeping this in mind, Sher Singh soon turns into Shekhar.

Along with a city of dreams, he also comes across the love that he only imagined in his dreams when Nisha [Raveen Tandon] enters his life. The two fall in love and decide to get married. Meanwhile he gets an SOS from home as his mother asks him to return back home for something urgent. While Nisha is interested in accompanying him to his native place, Shekhar refrains her from doing that by explaining the small town mentality of the people back there in his village. He tells her that people may not take it too kindly if Nisha accompanies him all the way without the two even married to each other. Nisha understands this as Shekhar promises to be back in no time.

But was that actually going to be the case? Was his visit to the village end of all troubles or just a beginning?

In the village, there is a different scenario altogether as he finds the talks to be on for his marriage, and that too with none other than the village zamindar's bubbly'n'loud daughter Sweety [Mahima Chaudhary]. A simple hearted yet lively, chirpy and full of life girl, Sweety is in love with Sher Singh since childhood and hence had approached her father to let the two get married.

Surprisingly the zamindar agrees to her proposal and visits Sher Singh's mother for the beginning of a relationship. She gleefully agrees but wants the formalities to begin only after her daughter has been married. Things continue to work well for the family as zamindar's own son agrees to marry Sher Singh's daughter for the happiness of his sister!

With everything working in a clockwork precision for his family, Sher Singh is left with no choice but to marry Sweety for the sake of the happiness of his mother and sister!

But what about his own happiness? Is he double happy due to the two women in his life or is it time for double trouble for him?

He has two wives now - Nisha and Sweety! While for Nisha, her Shekhar is always there in the nights, for Sweety her Sher Singh never forgets to throw in a surprise or two during his stay in the day. The drama continues to build up as one hilarious moment follows after another for Sher Singh aka Shekhar in his quest to keep both his wives happy. Applying every trick in the book to keep the trouble at bay, his luck finally runs out when Nisha and Sweety ask Sher Singh to meet Shekhar!

What does he do? Is the cat out of the bag finally? Is the end of his double trouble, though in a manner that he would have least expected? Or is there a third trouble knocking the doors?

It is indeed that as his look-alike arrives on the scene and claims to be Shekhar. Completely zapped and bewildered, Sher Singh is left clueless about a sudden twist in his life.

What happens next?

Also starring Shweta Menon, Kiran Kumar, Mohnish Bhel, Johny Lever, Anant Mahadevan, Anang Desai and Raj Zutshi, 'Sandwich' is a Smita Thackeray production that has been ready for quiet some time but unfortunately hasn't been able to see the light of the day over the years. Approximately a year after the release of last year's biggest success,
