Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hits back at Adil Hussain for calling his 2019 film 'Kabir Singh''misogynistic' in a recent statement.
Adil Hussain has now regretted doing 'Kabir Singh' in a conversation on YouTube channel AP Podcast, and says he is not proud of the film at all.
In his reaction, Vanga slammed Hussain's remarks, reflecting that despite his acting in umpteen art films, nothing fetched him as much notice as his repentance for one blockbuster movie. Vanga added, "I regret casting you, knowing your greed surpasses your passion. Now, I'll save you from embarrassment by replacing your face with AI assistance. Now, smile properly."
Shahid Kapoor plays the hot-headed surgeon 'Kabir Singh', whose romantic failure ultimately sends him into a self-destructive spiral of drug and alcohol abuse. Also in the film are Soham Majumdar, Arjan Bajwa, Suresh Oberoi, Nikita Dutta, and Kamini Kaushal. Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar, and Ashwin Varde co-produced the film.hit the screens on June 21.
