Acclaimed filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently unveiled a striking new look at the Tirumala temple. As reported, the director offered his hair to the deity, a customary practice following the overwhelming success of his recent endeavors.
In a video widely shared on social media, Vanga is captured within the temple grounds, adorned in a navy blue kurta and a contrasting pink scarf. However, it is his noticeably bald head and clean-shaven face that command attention.
Known for his signature long hair and beard, the director's transformation marks a significant deviation from his previous appearances. Notably, the protagonists of Vanga's filmography have consistently sported similar rugged avatars, from Arjun Reddy's Vijay Deverakonda to Kabir Singh's Shahid Kapoor and Animal's Ranbir Kapoor.
Within the video, Vanga graciously poses for photographs with admirers. When questioned about his upcoming project, he enthusiastically disclosed the highly anticipated "Spirit" featuring the esteemed Pan-Indian star Prabhas. Like his previous films, "Spirit" boasts a co-production partnership between Vanga and Bhushan Kumar's renowned T-Series.
In a social media announcement by T-Series, the collaborative nature of the partnership was highlighted: "It's a partnership built on trust, fueled by creative freedom, and fortified by an unbreakable bond." The post unveiled the upcoming slate of cinematic wonders, including "Prabhas' Spirit," "Animal Park" (sequel to "Animal"), and an Allu Arjun saga, following the remarkable achievements of "Kabir Singh" and "#Animal."
Expressing his gratitude for the partnership with Kumar, Vanga remarked, "The kind of freedom he gives in terms of my creativity and the liberty to choose any song makes me feel at home at T-Series, and there is nothing more than that a director needs." "Animal," released in 2023, emerged as one of the year's cinematic behemoths, amassing an impressive ₹800 crore at the box office. However, the film also faced criticism for its portrayal of misogyny and toxic masculinity.
The film centers around a complex father-son relationship, with Ranbir Kapoor as Rannvijay Singh embarking on a path of revenge after an assassination attempt on his father. Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Prem Chopra, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi also grace the film's cast.
