Tributes are pouring from the Houston Sherrifs office wtih the chief Ed Gonsalez stating He wore the turban, he represented his community with integrity, respect and pride and he was respected by all...I’m sad to share with you that we’ve lost one of our own. Our @HCSOTexas was unable to recover from his injuries. There are no words to convey our sadness. Please keep his family and our agency in your prayers.
Eyewitnesses have stated that Sandeep Dhaliwal after checking a particular vehicle during the traffic stop then headed back to his patrol car when a man came behind him with a pistol in hand and shot him dead in cold blood. The accused has been identified as 47 year old Robert Solis and has been apprehended.
Adrian Garcia the Harris County Police Commissioner has also paid rich tribute writing about Sandeep This guy had a heart of gold, he treated his brothers and sisters in law enforcement as if they were just brothers and sisters. He thought of them before he thought of himself. He thought of the broader community before he thought of himself,
Solis had an active Parole Violation Warrant for Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon dating back to January 2017. #HouNews #lesm https://t.co/R8tb5uAok9
