He isn't new to the world of films. Reason being that he has been doing a few films down South, and is already a known name there. However, when it came to Hindi films, he had to wait for a while. Not someone to give up and just leave it all on destiny, new youngster on the block, Harshvardhan Rane, continued to be persistence in his Bollywood journey and made sure sooner or later, he did manage to make inroads. It is this confidence in him that made Harshvardhan step into Radhika Rao & Vinay Sapru's 'Sanam Teri Kasam', even though it was originally supposed to star another youngster!
Meanwhile, when he came on board, the leading girl was already signed. Mawra Hocane, whom the director duo had spotted in a visit to Australia, was the one who came on board and soon enough there was an intense on-screen chemistry that developed between the youngsters.
Physically petite, Mawra turned out to be an exact opposite of Harsh, who boasts of a well chiseled frame and a toned body that has been painstakingly maintained. However, none of that was a hindrance in line of the mental connect that the two formed with each other in a jiffy.
"There is a contrast in the way Mawra looks and what she actually is," Harshvardhan says about his co-star, "Even though she is so fragile, she is still one of the strongest girls that I have ever met. She may be drenched in water for 20-22 hours but she won't flinch. Mentally too she is very strong. The way she is making her life move forward is something I truly appreciate. She is a very determined person; if she has thought about something, then she will make it happen."
Now that Sanam Teri Kasam has released and good feedback is coming his way, Harshvardhan is taking one day at a time before signing on anything in a jiffy.
"I just want to get a good product for my audience. I am always open willing to listen to great projects. That said, I am not running against anything. I don't have to prove a point," says Harshvardhan before signing off.
