One of the popular contestants of the superhit reality game show Bigg Boss' season 3 was Tharshan Thyagarajah, a Sri Lanka based model turned actor who had acted in few Tamil movies and advertisements.

During the show, actress and model, and the ongoing Bigg Boss 4 contestant Sanam Shetty had been supporting him constantly on social media and interviews, and had later revealed that they were engaged as well.

However, after Bigg Boss 3 end, Tharshan despite accepting that they were engaged, refused to marry Sanam, and the actress had filed cases against Tharshan in 3 sections. Now Sanam's side had filed a plea that despite complaints no action was taken against Tharshan in these cases and when this plea came to hearing on November 6, the Chennai highcourt ordered the police authorities to file a report on the action taken against Tharshan in the 3 cases.
