Mollywood diva Samyuktha Menon, who was last seen in the suspense thriller Eeda, has bagged an exciting movie in Tamil. The actress has been roped in to play the female lead in Kollywood star Dhanush's upcoming bilingual movie 'Vaathi'. Sharing her excitement on being part of the biggie, Samyuktha wrote, “This one is special A Tamil-Telugu bilingual with my favourite and most brilliant @dhanushkraja. Directed by @venky_atluri and super proud to associate again with @sitharaentertainments after #bheemlanayak. Thank you so much vamsi gaaru @nagavamsi19 for the opportunity ."

Releasing in Tamil and Telugu, the upcoming film is helmed by Venky Atluri. The upcoming film has been titled 'Vaathi' in Tamil and 'Sir' in Telugu. The upcoming project will mark Dhanush’s first direct Telugu film. Dinesh Krishnan is the cinematographer, while, G.V. Prakash will be scoring the music. Editing is by Navin Nooli. Meanwhile, Samyuktha Menon has some exciting films like ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘Gaalipata 2’, and ‘Kaduva’ in her kitty.

On the other hand, Dhanush is awaiting the release of his Hindi movie ‘Atrangi Re’ which also stars Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. The movie is releasing on an OTT platform on December 24.
