The shooting of Kalchilambu is fast progressing at Echikkanam in Kanhangad. Vineeth plays Kannan and Jayadevan, a Theyyam artiste and the other a software engineer.

The film, directed by A T Annoor, tells the story of Kannan, a Peruvannan and others belonging to the same caste of the Malabar area. Samvritha Sunil plays heroine in the film.

Other casts include Jagathy, Sai Kumar, Jagadhish, Mohan, Mala, Rajan P Dev, Sobha Mohan, Augustine, Poojappura Ravi, Sabitha Anand and many others.
