We had earlier reported that Samuthirakani will be acting in an important role in director Priyadarshan's new Tamil film with Udhayanidhi Stalin which is the official remake of critically acclaimed super hit Malayalam film 'Maheshinte Prathikaram'. The film has been launched with a formal pooja today and the shooting will commence from the 19th of July.

Now the official press statement of the makers state that the film will have the dialogues written by Samuthirakani. This is the first time Kani will be writing dialogues for a film directed by another person.

Namita Pramod and Parvathy Nair are playing the female leads in this film. M.S.Bhaskar will be seen in an important supporting character.

The makers have confirmed that Ekambaram will crank the camera while Darbuka Siva will score music for this production venture of Moon Shot Entertainment banner.

The film will be predominantly shot in Thenkasi and Coutralam of Tamil Nadu.
