Apart from this, he is been approached by many directors for acting and one among them is director Jai Prakash. It’s heard that the director is keen to rope in Samuthirakani for his next venture. The director who earlier made film like ‘Sadhi Sanam’ and ‘Kadhal F.M’ will be doing a quickie with Karunas in the lead, until Samuthirakani is free and back from his Telugu ‘Naadodigal’.

Samuthirakani is also committed to do a role in his friend Sasikumar's next venture in Tamil. Ideally, he must balance between acting and direction. Thanks to Sasikumar to throw light on Samuthirakani’s stage talent.
