Samuthirakani's next in 12 languages

Samuthirakani who is gaining phenomenal importance in Kollywood as an actor is currently directing a film 'Appa' in which he plays the lead role. The film is touted to be a sequel to the critically acclaimed super hit 'Sattai' directed by Anbazhagan, in which Kani played the lead role.
'Appa' as the title suggests is a film that deals with a father's contribution in his child's education and bright future. Isaignani Ilaiyaraj is scoring the music for this film.
Now the latest we learn is that Samuthirakani is planning to remake this film in as many as 12 Indian languages. He is also planning to approach Mammootty, Venkatesh and Puneeth Rajkumar to play the lead roles in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada remake versions respectively.
We will have to wait for the official confirmation on this.
Samuthirakani is not new to other language film. His 'Nadodigal' has been remade in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and Bengali. All the versions were super hits. Samuthirakani himself directed the Telugu remake of 'Nadodigal' and also the Kannada remake of his another Tamil film 'Poraali'. His direct Telugu film as a director was 'Jandapai Kapiraju' whose Tamil version is 'Nimirndhu Nil'.
