Director Priyadarashan will be making his reentry in Tamil after almost a decade with the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam blockbuster 'Maheshinte Prathikaram'. Udhayanidhi Stalin will be reprising the male lead role played by Fahad Fazil in the original. Malayalam actress Namitha Pramod is likely to play the female lead and M.S.Bhaskar has been signed up to play an important role.

Now we learn that National award winning supporting Samuthirakani has been zeroed in as the lead villain of the film. It is to be noted that Samuthirakani played the lead villain in Priyadarshan's latest super hit Malayalam film 'Oppam' starring Mohanlal in the lead role.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin from next month. The title, cast and crew members of the film will be announced in due course.
