Director Priyadarshan is joining hands with Udhayanidhi Stalin for the Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster 'Maheshinte Prathikaram', directed by Dileesh Pothen. In the Tamil Version, Udhayanidhi will be reprising the role of Fahadh Faasil and Namitha Pramod will be doing the role of Jimsy, the character which was perfected by Aparna Balamurali in the Malayalam original.

Now the latest that we hear is, versatile actor Samuthirakani has been roped in for the role of Jimson which was essayed by Sujith Sankar in the original. Meanwhile, MS Bhaskar will be playing the role essayed by Alencier Ley Lopez.

Reportedly, the director has made slight changes in the remake to suit the sensibilities of the Tamil audiences. Unlike its Malayalam original, there will be more prominence to humour in the Tamil verison.

Produced by Santhosh åNair of Moonshot Entertainment, the yet-to-be-titled movie will start rolling on July 15, and will be shot extensively in Theni and Cumbam regions. Stay tuned for further updates!
