Samuthirakani becomes a hero after a long gap

Director-Actor Samuthirakani is getting rave reviews for his performance as a investigator from the national human rights commission in the recent release 'Tharkappu'. Samuthirakani who has been acting in strong supporting roles and negative roles in the recent years will be acting as a hero in new film after 'Sattai' that released in 2012.

Director Sundar.C's former associate Rajadurai will be directing a new film titled as 'Satham'. The film will have Samuthirakani as the male lead. Aishwarya Dutta of 'Tamizhukku En Ondrai Azhuthavum' fame will be acting as the heroine. Gopi, a newcomer has been roped in to play the second lead.

'Satham' is touted as an action thriller. The shooting of the film is expected to begin in Kodaikanal, by the end of January 2016. The team has planned to shoot the entire film in Kodaikanal
