Ilaiyaraja is the father of Music- Samuthirakani

Samuthriakani has directed and produced the film 'Appa' in which he has also acted in the lead role. Isaignanai Ilaiyaraja has done the musical score for the film.
On the auspicious occasion of the 73rd birthday of the music maestro, Samuthurikani has released a video in which he speaks about his experiences on working with the legendary composer.
"Appa is my tenth film. I finished the film and approached Raja sir. After watching the film he accepted to do the musical score. I asked about his salary and he just said that the salary part can be discussed later and insisted on starting work immediately. For eleven days I was with him. Like a teacher, he has taught me how the background music for the films should be. On this auspicious day I pray the almighty to bless him with many more years. He is a genius and he is the Father of Music."
