Shooting of 'Mallepuvvu' directed by V Samudra and produced by Mohan Vadlapatla on the banner of Sri Samudra Silverscreens with Bhoomika in the title role was almost complete but for the canning of a song.

Muralikrishna is playing the male lead in the flick.

Addressing the media at Prasad Labs recently, Samudra says, 'The film 'Mallepuvvu' was one of the blockbusters and a milestone in Nata Bhushana Sobhanbabu's career. After we announced the title, Sobhanbabu called me up once and complimented me for choosing it for our film. We invited him for the muhurat of the movie, but he could not come due to some preoccupations.

However, he told us that he would take part in the audio release function. True to the saying 'Man proposes, God disposes', the great artiste passed away. So we have decided to dedicate our film to the departed soul. We are inviting all those who starred in 'Mallepuvvu' earlier as special guests for the audio launch of the film which would be held at the end of the July. Illayaraja scored tunes for seven songs and all of them would remain a big asset. Not only that, he also rendered a song for our film. The story of the film is very good. In fact it was penned by Ramesh Varma of 'Oka Voorilo'- fame director and I liked the story and asked him to give it to me and he agreed for it. Not only me, the story also impressed Illayaraja, who asked for the Tamil rights of the film for him. Likewise, Bhoomika asked for the Hindi remake rights for the flick. We are planning to release the film in the auspicious Sravana Maasam.'

P Prasad Raju is the presenter, while photography is by Anil Bhandari, lyrics are by Veturi, and screenplay and direction are by V Samudra.
