Sampath Raj, who won brownie points for his performance in Telugu films like Dammu, Mirchi, etc., would soon share screen space with Kamal Haasan in his forthcoming bilingual film Cheekati Rajyam (Thoonga Vanam in Tamil). The splashing actor will be seen in a pivotal role in the film, which has Trisha as the leading lady. Known for versatile roles, Sampath is expected to join the sets next week.

Apparently, when Sampath was approached for the film, he was surprised and even asked where is the space for him when two legends ­ Kamal Haasan and Prakash Raj ­ working on this project? But the film`s director Rajesh narrated Sampath his portion and latter felt it was an interesting role. The actor is now thrilled and is looking forward to working with Kamal.

Samapth is currently working on a handful of Telugu films including, Mahesh Babu-starrer Srimanthudu, Ram Charan`s untitled film and another project featuring Nagarjuna.
