The pre-release event of 'Sammohanam' was held on Sunday. Mahesh Babu graced the occasion as the chief guest. Directed by Mohankrishna Indraganti, the film will hit the screens on June 15.
Dil Raju said, "People have accepted Indraganti garu's films like 'Ashta Chamma' and 'Gentleman'. I like the premise of 'Sammohanam', wherein an ordinary guy loves a film actress. I wish the whole team all the best."
Vamsi Paidipally said, "Indraganti garu has got a mark of his own. We understand it when we watch his movies. Sudheer is a good friend of mine. I knew him since even I became a director. Be it anything, he does it with passion."
Koratala Siva said, "I have loved this title 'Sammohanam'. You can't have a better title than 'Sammohanam' for a love story. Indraganti garu is a sensible director. I hope this one becomes the biggest hit in his career. The concept is sounding new. I know Sudheer garu's talent. He works really hard."
Harish Shankar said, "Indraganti garu is one of the best writers and directors in the industry. I am a big fan of his work. I have known Sudheer for long now. I am glad he has turned a producer. Aditi Rao Hydari is a very good performer." He described Mahesh as a supple actor who can adapt himself to the style of any director.
Sudheer Babu said, "I was wondering if 'Sammohanam' will get the reach it needs. Now that Mahesh has graced this occasion with his new look, all my doubts are gone. The experience of working with Indraganti garu is great."
Aditi Rao Hydari said, "This is my first film in Telugu. I have done a very good role in the movie. I thank the director for etching the character Sameera. Sudheer is an amazing co-star. I thank cinematographer Vinda, music director Vivek Sagar and everybody else."
Indraganti said, "I was traveling by train way back in 2008 when I happened to see a girl child parrot Pokiri's punch dialogues. It's with that inspiration that I wrote the main character in 'Ashta Chamma'. I was looking for a magical name about which my heroine is mad. And that girlchild hinted that it should be Mahesh. His very name has got style, vibrations and seduction.
I could never personally meet him and thank him. I can now finally thank him. 'Sammohanam' is a film close to my heart. Sudheer has played a character that only he can. I have become a fan of Aditi's acting. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad garu has made this film by reposing faith in me. I have found a good friend in Naresh garu. Vivek Sagar has given a beautiful music. He has made the film divine with his music."
The producer Krishna Prasad thanked Mahesh for gracing the occasion. He expressed the hope that the film will fetch both name and moolah.
Mahesh Babu said, "Sudheer rocks it with his speech whenever he is at an event of my film. But today, he is subdued. I haven't been able to support Sudheer with the exception of attending functions like this one. He has achieved everything on his own and I am very proud of him," the 'Bharat Ane Nenu' actor said. "Being here, I can sense super-hit vibes all around. 'Sammohanam' will definitely be a big hit. A while ago, Naresh garu was talking to me about this movie with so much excitement. I had never seen him so excited about a movie.
Dil Raju garu, too, is very optimistic," he added. Mahesh quipped that 'Ashta Chamma' is one of his favourite movies not for the reason that its heroine (Swathi Reddy) is mad about him! As she said it, the Prince of Tollywood could be seen smiling infectiously. "I welcome Aditi (Rao Hydari) to Telugu cinema. I found her brilliant in Mani Ratnam sir's film ('Cheliyaa') and 'Padmaavat'," he said. Mahesh signed off by greeting his fans and wishing that they will bless Sudheer and his film.
