"Pyaar Mein Twist" may have failed to stir the box office, but the film seems to have triggered a frenzy of marriage proposals for its leading man Sammir Dattani.

Sammir is amazed. "I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just because of the goodie-goodie noble progressive guy I played in 'Pyaar Mein Twist'. You know the nice wholesome clean-cut boy who loves the girl and adores her mom," he said.

"It's every mom-in-law's favorite fantasy. My Gujarati community seems to have taken my image in the film quite seriously. Suddenly every Gujju family with a marriageable girl is interested in me!" Sammir told IANS.

After the release of "Pyaar Mein Twist", Sammir has received as many as six marriage proposals.

"It's crazy! They have all come through my mom and they all insist that I should immediately consent to marriage. I have never come across such a situation before.

"I am pretty sure if I had played a rapist or a serial killer in 'Pyaar Mein Twist', my prospective moms-in-law would have put padlocks on their daughters' doors."

Though proposals are aplenty, Sammir is not interested in marriage so early. "Not right now. I am only 23. My career has just taken off. Marriage can wait," he said.
