A Shekar Chandra Musical

In this section, we are going to review the songs from 'Sammathame', which is an Aditya Music album.

Baava Thaakithe

Singers: Mallikarjun, Malavika

Lyricist: Sanapati Bharadwaj Patrudu

Here and there, the song has a 'Maa perati jamchettu' vibes from 'Pelli Sandadi'. Mallikarjun's voice sounds like it is SP Charan's. Malavika's voice couldn't have sounded more apt. The retro number is more in the league of the 1990s music, while the costumes and dance moves belong to an earlier era. That way, the spirit of 'Baava Thaakithe' spans two decades. Sanapati's lyrics are laced with deliberate imitation more than nostalgia.

A Shekar Chandra Musical

Krishna And Sathyabhama

Singers: Yazin Nizar, Sireesha Bhagavatula

Lyricist: Krishna Kanth

The song is conceived to feel like an everyday conversation between a man and his girlfriend. Krishna Kanth, who has aced deep songs over the years, makes this song hit the right notes. Yazin Nizar's voice is alright, while Sireesha's melodious voice reminds one of the seasoned voices. Composer Shekhar Chandra deserves to be commended for not trivializing the song. He makes it a dignified melody despite the concept being playful.

Bullet La

Singer: Ritesh G Rao

Lyricist: Samrat

Samrat's lyrics begin on a more urbane note. As the song progresses, the lyrics take the form of literary vibes. Ritesh G Rao's voice is unassuming and lovely. 'Bullet La' is the kind of love song we need for a montage. Since the romantic-comedy features two relatively fresh faces, the lyrical video works like a breeze. All in all, this is a fitting follow-up to Krishna And Sathyabhama, the album's first song.
