Sameera Reddy Actress Gallery

Sameera Reddy thrilled the city of Surat on Wednesday evening, by taking part in the Garba dance, marking the last day of the nine-day long festival of Navaratri. "It was a great experience and festive mood prevailed all over," she said on Thursday.

The 'Vaaranam Aayiram' and 'Vedi' actress shared the stage with Mahima Chaudhary and performed Garba, an inevitable part of Dasara celebrations in Surat. "The response was so overwhelming and the audiences were so supportive," Sameera said.

Thousands thronged to catch a glimpse of the stars dancing to the tunes of traditional and Bollywood music. "India is a land of festivals. Each festival has significance. And Navaratri no doubt tops the list," the actress said, adding: "I am eager to visit Surat again."

Mahima said "The Dandiya dance is an integral part of the celebrations of the Navaratri, which is held in honour of the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga, celebrated over nine days. I am happy to be here and take part in the celebrations."
