Samar
They joined hands for the first time in 'Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai'. And Vishal and director Thiru are at it once again, this time for 'Samar'. An action-adventure film, the movie produced by Jaya Balaji Real Media has Trisha, Sunaina, Manoj Bajpai and J D Chakravarthy appearing in pivotal roles. 'Samar' was initially shot in the forests of Chalakudy in Kerala, while the cast and crew later left for Thailand for a lengthy schedule. Says the director, "The shooting is over and we are currently busy with post production works. Vishal has given his best for Samar, and it is my pleasure to work with him once again." Thiru adds: "Trisha has played a beautiful role. So has Sunaina. Both the actresses have added immense value to the movie with their performance." Shedding light on the film's knot, he says, "The story revolves around Sakthi (Vishal) who goes to Bangkok on a personal work. Only after reaching the abroad country, the trekker realises that someone is operating him without his knowledge." He adds: "Soon Sakthi comes to know that a plot has been woven around him. How he comes out successfully from testing situations is the crux of the story." Giving more details, he says, "The name of Trisha's character is Maya. She is a Tamil girl who lives abroad. Sunaina plays Roopa, a resident of Ooty." Interestingly, Trisha has dubbed for herself in 'Samar'. In the past, Trisha has dubbed for herself only in 'Ayudha Ezhuthu', 'Manmadhan Ambu' and 'Mankatha', it may be noted. On his part, Vishal says, "I was very much thrilled when Thiru narrated the script of Samar to me. For, it was a high voltage adventure story and I had a powerful role to play." The actor further says: "Shooting for Samar was totally a different experience. This is for the first time I am doing such a character. I am sure Samar will keep the audience engaged." |
