Samantha, the leading south actress, received nationwide acclaim and awards for her bold performance in the Hindi web series 'The Family Man Season 2'. Meanwhile, Indiaglitz broke to you long back that the south queen Samantha will be reuniting with Raj & DK, the creators of 'The Family Man'.
Samantha has been roped in to play an important role alongside the Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan in Raj & DK's upcoming series 'Citadel'. Bankrolled by the 'Avengers' fame director duo, the Russo Brothers, the web series will make its way soon to the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. Earlier this month, we updated you that Samantha was spotted along with Varun and the directors in Mumbai.
Now, the latest reports suggest that Varun and Samantha will kickstart shooting for 'Citadel' in July. A source reveals, “If there are no further challenges because of the pandemic, then Citadel’s shoot will begin from July this year. It will kickstart in Mumbai and then will be shot at a few foreign locations. The makers intend to shoot in some parts of Europe, however they will finalise the exact locations after the recee, which is expected to begin soon. Meanwhile, casting for other supporting parts is going on.”
Reportedly, Varun Dhawan will undergo training in martial arts for 'Citadel'. On the work front, Raj and DK are presently busy shooting for Dulquer Salmaan and Rajkummar Rao starrer Guns & Gulaabs. Samantha is awaiting the release of her Tamil romantic comedy film, 'Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal', co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
