Actress Samantha flew to the foothills of the Himalayas in a giant chopper with her soul sister Shilpa Reddy and shared a glimpse of Rishikesh on her Instagram stories with fans. The spiritual yatra came to an end today and Sam once again took other Instagram to post pictures from the trip and penned a heartfelt note about this special place.
During the last day of the trip Samantha and Shilpa decided to walk up to the top of Yamunotri and enjoyed the view. They also stopped for chai and petted mountain dogs. Sharing a video of her walking up the mountains, Samantha wrote, "Yamunotri is a two and a half hour steep trek. From 800 mts to 1500 mts altitude. Most people choose to go in palkis, mules or be carried in baskets. We enjoyed walking up, stopping for pictures, chai and petting beautiful mountain dogs (sic)."
She wrote, "End of an amazing trip! #CharDhamYatra #yamanotri #gangotri #kedarnath #badrinath I have always been fascinated by the Himalayas ever since I read the Mahabharata it has been a dream to visit this paradise on Earth, a place of great mystery .. the abode of Gods. It has been everything I hoped it would. Serene and majestic .. a complex confusion between myth and reality. Absolutely breathtaking!! The Himalayas will have a special place in my heart. And all the more special because I got to experience it with you @shilpareddy.official #soulsister (sic)."
Yesterday, Samantha and Shilpa Reddy visited the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram where The Beatles practised meditation and wrote nearly 48 songs. Calling herself a fangirl, she shared some beautiful pictures of the same.
On the professional front, Samantha is now waiting for the release of her upcoming film, Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar. She also has director Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She has also signed two back to back bilingual films. She is expected to commence shooting once she is back in her sweet adobe.
