The Hindi-language espionage thriller 'The Family Man 2' has been described as an anti-Tamil piece of propaganda by sections of Netizens. As per the Netizens, the LTTE (a Sri Lankan Tamils outfit) has been portrayed as a terrorist organization, which is inaccurate as per the critics. "Hollywood showed Russians and Cubans as mercenaries in their movies and created hatred against them. This is exactly these people are doing now against Tamils," a Twitter user lamented.
Many tweeples have alleged that the series portrays LTTE as having links with a trans-national Islamist terror organization. "Tamil peoples, after the war, migrated to many countries, struggled a lot and atleast now they have been well settled in a few countries. But in many places, they are struggling a lot without freedom. Don’t put any negativity on us," a user wrote.
Created by Raj and DK, the series is headlined by Manoj Bajpayee. Also featuring Priyamani (as Bajpayee's wife), Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav, Kishore Kumar and others, the espionage series will stream on Amazon Prime from June 4.
