Samantha started the New Year with a bang receiving the Best Actress Award for her quirky portrayal of Vembu in 'Super Deluxe' followed by the title announcement of her new movie 'Jaanu' the Telugu remake of '96'.

Sam's hot new pics in designer sarees went viral on the internet and fans went gaga over her stunning looks. In one of the photos the Chennai born beauty has her hand raised and a tattoo is visible. There was great curiosity over what the design of the tattoo could be which has now been revealed. In stylish letters the word "Chai" has been embedded on Sam's skin which is the nickname of hubby Naga Chaitanya. The photos have also given a tight slap on the face to rumour mongers who have been spreading that all is not well between the lovers citing that Sam was missing in a few family functions of the Akkinenis.
