Samantha wanted to dub for Rangasthalam's Rama Lakshmi but given the nativity of the slang, Sukumar roped in Jyothi Varma.  For one more time, we will miss Chinmayi Sripada's dubbing for the star actress.  In 'Mahanati', we are going to listen to Samantha's original voice for her character Madhuravani.  This is her first-ever tryst with dubbing in Telugu.  

The Akkineni 'kodalu' was done with dubbing for the movie last night.  She plays the role of a researcher placed in the 1980s, exploring the life of the legendary Savitri.  She is paired up with Vijay Devarakonda.  

Samantha's ease with Telugu is showing nowadays.  It's good that she has finally taken the plunge.  Let's see if this adds more credibility to her performance in 'Mahanati', which is directed by Nag Ashwin and which will hit the screens on May 9.
