Samantha is one of the most prominent heroines in the Indian film industry. She has multiple projects in a variety of genres in her kitty. 'Shaakuntalam' is an upcoming mythological drama, starring Samantha, based on the popular play Shakuntala by Kalidasa.

An alluring first look poster featuring Samantha was released earlier this year. Meanwhile, the visually extravagant motion poster of 'Shaakuntalam' surfaced over the internet today. The release date of the movie has been unveiled as well. The minute-long video shows Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala and actor Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of the Puru Dynasty.

'Shaakuntalam' will hit the big screens on November 4. The film is an epic love story set in the medieval period and we were shown a stunning palace in the motion poster. Jointly produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and Gunaa Teamworks, Gunasekhar has written and directed the much-awaited movie. Mani Sharma's music adds more attraction to the promo.

Shaakuntalam's star cast includes Sachin Khedekar Kabir Bedi, Dr. Mohan Babu Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles. Also, Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha, will be seen playing the role of Prince Bharata. Shekar V Joseph takes care of cinematography and Prawin Pudi handles the editing.
