Samantha, one of the most sought after leading ladies in South cinema, apart from her busy career is also well known for her philanthropic activities. She is actively involved in Prathyusha a NGO that takes care of heart surgeries of young children. In one more novel attempt to collect money for the needy, Samantha turned vegetable seller in the Jaam Bazaar market in Triplicane Chennai. Surprised customers learning of their favorite heroine's motive thronged the shop and paid big money for the vegetables and in no time the baskets became empty.

On the work front basking Samantha has had a number of hits in 2018 and in Tamil her 'Irumbu Thirai' with Arjun and Vishal just touched the 100 days run. Sam also has a lot to look forward to this month as two of her films 'Seemaraja' and 'U Turn' are hitting the screens on the same day September 13th.
