During her divorce settlement , Samantha didn’t want any alimony from Nagarjuna’s family even though the family’s net worth is more than 1000 crores. She expressed frustration over the fake reports and urged the media to handle information responsibly, considering that Myositis is a condition faced by many. Samantha's social media note read, "25 crores to treat Myositis!? Someone got you a pretty bad deal. I am glad I am only spending the smallest fraction of that. And, I don’t think I was paid in marbles for all the work I’ve done in my career. So, I can easily take care of myself. Thank you. Myosotis is a condition thousands suffer from. Let’s please be responsible with the information we put out regarding the treatment."

Some reports had claimed that Samantha sought financial help from a prominent Tollywood star due to the treatment's cost, but the star's name remains undisclosed. Currently on a break from work, Samantha decided to pause her acting career for six months to focus on her health. She is set to undergo treatment for her autoimmune condition myositis in the US soon.
