Recently, the Bollywood movie Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Vanga and starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani was released and the movie has turned out to be a blockbuster. In a recent interview with Sandeep Vanga, he had mentioned that when a man and woman in love can't touch or slap each other anywhere there is no love in it.

This statement from the director had turned viral and actresses and feminists from all over the nation started pouring their anger at the director for his statement, and actress Samantha had posted on her Instagram handle, a clip of the statement by Sandeep and captioned it as deeply disturbing.

However a fan had questioned that she had praised the movie's original Arjun Reddy but is now talking against Sandeep and called it as double standards, for which Samantha replied "Liking the film .. and disagreeing with a comment are two different things. I loved the story of one 'Arjun Reddy' .. not the generalisation that love means having the liberty of slapping people around". However, after this tweet from Samantha, netizens started sharing screenshots of movies like Kaththi, Rangasthalam where Samantha was getting slapped.
